Note the location of the mounting holes on the back of the generator. The screws must set directly into studs or equivalent supports. Drill two pilot holes on 305 mm centers and two holes on 254 mm centers (see diagram 2). Install two #10 1½" screws into the outer pair of holes.
Carefully hang the generator on the two screws then tighten the screws. Install two #10 1½" screws into the inner pair of holes then tighten to secure the generator in place. Replace the front cover. Secure the front cover with six screws.
In general the width of the unit allows it to sit on a shelf, across the ceiling joists or on a fl oor. The generator must be restrained from moving. Normally the piping will provide adequate restraint. If not, additional restraint must be provided.
All floor installed generators must have provision for routine draining of the tank.
